In this workshop, you will learn the basics of visualizing geographic information and creating your own maps in a Geographic Information System (GIS). Open source and proprietary mapping and GIS software and online tool options will be described. Hands-on exercises will be done in ArcGIS Online, a web-based GIS platform available through a campus license.
Students will leave with a roadmap for learning more beyond this short, basic GIS intro workshop.
The URL for this session will be included in the confirmation message you receive 5-10 minutes after you register, as well as in an automatic reminder message sent two days prior to the session.
