Join us for a hands-on craft workshop where you’ll learn how to transform/upcycle a Beanie Baby (or similar plush toy) into a soft weight! No prior sewing experience is necessary—all skill levels are welcome. We’ll provide all the materials and step-by-step guidance you need.
In this session, you will:
>Carefully open your Beanie Baby, remove the original beans, and add a weightier filler material.
>Re-stuff and stitch your plush closed with simple sewing techniques.
>Learn basic skills that you can use to customize other stuffed friends at home.
>Feel free to bring your own, or use one of the provided toys.
All supplies, including plush toys, weighted fillers, and sewing tools, will be available. Everyone is welcome—this workshop is meant to be a fun change of pace and a chance to take a break from your usual routine. The workshop should only take about an hour, but we’ve set aside 2 hours just in case we need extra time.
