Appreciative Inquiry

Monday, 1/5, 9:00 am-10:30 am

Empathetic communication is vital for fostering a positive and collaborative environment within library teams and in interactions with patrons. Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is a strengths-based framework that empowers individuals and organizations to identify and build on what works well, cultivating empathy, creativity, and constructive dialogue. In this interactive session, participants will learn how Appreciative Inquiry can transform everyday communication, strengthen workplace relationships, and support a culture of affirmation and growth. Participants will explore the principles and process of AI, engage in guided activities, and develop strategies to apply AI for empathetic interactions both within their teams and when serving the university community.
