Data & Assessment Training Plan

Monday, 1/5, 11:00 am-12:00 pm

This session is a discussion of a proposed pilot to offer data and assessment training to those interested in the library. The proposed training starts with a basic understanding of data, explores spreadsheets, teaches how to use Alma Analytics, and ends with data visualization, with an optional segment looking at programming for data. This time will be spent going into details about the training program and the expectations for various learning points. Some time will also be spent gathering feedback about the proposed training plan for implementation.

Presenter bio:  Jennifer Meekhof is the Associate Director of Technical Services. She is a self taught data nerd, who enjoys finding answers in numbers. She uses the tools at hand to find and communicate insights into her team’s work. It started with cataloging statistics, moved into Excel charts, and now if she could use Alma Analytics to take over the world, she would.
