The Library Collections Anti-Racism Community of Practice Steering Committee began quarterly Anti-Racism Engagement Days for Collections Division staff in January. These days focus on learning about and engaging with anti-racism and DEIA efforts related to collections work, enabling us to identify potential structural changes to our workflows.
While these days are primarily for Collections Division staff, all colleagues, including those outside the Collections Division, are welcome to participate.
The second engagement day, held on March 12, will focus on Module 2 of the library’s Anti-Racism Toolkit. The Steering Committee will provide guiding questions to help you as you work through the module at your own pace. Then, on April 23, we will host discussions where everyone can share their experiences and insights after completing the module.
