This in-person forum will be a space reserved for supervisors in the library to discuss and learn from each other. This discussion will be focused on how the library’s expectations of supervision have been and might be applied to individual circumstances. We will also explore barriers to and the needs of supervisors in putting the expectations into practice. This forum is open to all supervisors and managers. Please reach out to the Culture of Supportive Supervision Advisory Team with questions. Contact Jeff Witt (wittjef@umich.edu) if you would like to learn more.
Objectives:
- Give space to library supervisors to come together in community, and reflect on the library expectations of supervision.
- Supervisors will become more familiar with the expectations of supervision and what they might look like in practice.
- The Culture of Supportive Supervision Advisory Team will learn more about what library supervisors need to fulfill the expectations of supervision.
This is an in-person only session, and it will take place in Hatcher Gallery Lab.
An online-only session will be held on Thursday, May 8th on Zoom. You can register for that session here.
