In a one-hour synchronous training session presented by Jill Castro, Senior Faculty and Staff Counselor from the Faculty & Staff Counseling & Consultation Office (FASCCO), library employees will learn tools and skills for prioritizing self-care. By the end of this training session, attendees will:
- Gain familiarity with a variety of tools and skills for prioritizing self-care.
- Take away a tangible plan of self-care techniques they can use to build and maintain their personal internal resources.
- Understand the basics of self-care and how to prioritize it in their day-to-day life.
Self-care is an important foundational element, but only one of many needed elements, in a holistic approach to workplace safety. This training supports two of the Library’s programmatic safety learning outcomes: “Apply self-care strategies and access support resources after incidents,” and “Employees will practice self-care techniques to manage stress and maintain professional composure.”
Please register in advance so we can show demonstrated committed interest — to keep this workshop on the calendar! Thank you!
