Lost in translation? A Conversation on Copyright and Translation

This workshop is designed for students, faculty, and researchers who produce or use translations in their academic work.

Participants will come away from this 60-minute workshop with a working understanding of concepts such as derivative works, exclusive rights of a copyright holder, fair use, and the public domain, and practical knowledge about how to approach and make decisions about questions of copyright for translations.
