Planning your Team-based Learning Course

Thursday, 10/10, 9:00 am-11:00 am

Discover the power of teams to increase student engagement and investment. This in person session, held in one of our team-based learning classrooms, will introduce faculty to team-based learning (TBL), a pedagogical approach designed to foster collaborative learning activities.

Whether you’re currently using TBL or exploring ways to engage students through teamwork, this workshop will guide you in designing team activities for your course. In this session, participants will:

-Define team-based learning and understand its impact on student outcomes.
-Differentiate between group work and teamwork.
-Explore a range of available tools and techniques for organizing effective teams.
-Begin the process of designing team activities for an upcoming team-based learning course.

Coffee and breakfast pastries will be provided at the event.
