EPUB Working Session: Putting Accessible E-Publishing into Practice

Thursday, 9/24, 1:00 pm-2:00 pm

Ready to put what you learned in Rethinking PDFs: Using EPUB for More Accessible Academic Documents into practice? This applied working session provides dedicated time and support to create or convert your own academic materials into accessible EPUBs.

Rather than presenting new concepts through a traditional workshop format, this session concentrates on learning through doing. Participants will work independently or alongside facilitators to apply skills from the introductory EPUB workshop to their own documents and projects. Facilitators will be available to answer questions, troubleshoot challenges, and provide guidance as you work.

Participants are welcome to bring a document they would like to create, convert, or explore as an EPUB. You do not need to complete an EPUB during the session; the goal is to build confidence with the process, practice creating accessible EPUBs, and leave with concrete next steps for continuing your work.

This session is best suited for participants who have attended or reviewed the materials from the Introductory Rethinking PDFs workshop and are ready for hands-on practice.
