Caterpillar Stitch

Friday, 7/31, 10:00 am-12:00 pm

Join me for a fun, hands-on introduction to the whimsical caterpillar stitch! You’ll learn the basics of this decorative bookbinding technique by stitching caterpillar designs onto paperboard — no bookbinding experience required.

This workshop is sponsored by the Book Arts Studio and all supplies are included. In order to make the most of our time together and so everyone can focus on learning the technique at a relaxed pace , we won’t be making a full book during this session. Instead, the technique has been broken down into a streamlined, beginner-friendly project that focuses on the stitch itself. You’ll also be able to look closely at a completed caterpillar binding and several sample pieces to better understand how the stitch comes together.

Two identical 2-hour sessions are available, so choose the one that works best for you.

Come try something new, get creative, and leave with your very own stitched caterpillar!
