Introduction To Data Repositories: Finding The Right Fit For Your Data

Wednesday, 7/9, 2:00 pm-3:00 pm

When writing a data management plan or sharing out research data, it can be challenging to find the right data repository. In this workshop, we will review the different types of data repositories (institutional, subject, and generalist) and the “Desirable Characteristics of Data Repositories for Federally Funded Research.” Scenarios and group discussions will help attendees apply what we learn, and attendees will then be able to more confidently find the right repository for their data.

This workshop is meant to be the first in a series of workshops to help you choose a data repository, and we will be crafting future workshops based on the feedback from the following survey. Attendees will have the opportunity to fill out the survey at the end of the workshop session, but registrants are welcome to fill it out anytime: https://umich.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_55Qxs3m5egvfviS

The URL for this session will be included in the confirmation message you receive 5-10 minutes after you register, as well as in an automatic reminder message sent two days prior to the session.
