Introduction to Overleaf and LaTeX

Learn how to use Overleaf to create and format your LaTeX documents and to manage your citations.

An introduction to document creation using LaTeX, a typesetting program used by engineers and mathematicians to create technical documents with ease, and Overleaf, a collaborative online LaTeX editor. In this workshop we will:

  • Create a LaTeX document from a template
  • Learn about a number of important LaTeX packages
  • Learn how to create equations and insert figures
  • Learn how to cite and create bibliographies from BibTeX
