Library Launchpad: Workshop Series for Graduate Students: Introduction to Archival Research in the Special Collections Research Center

Library Launchpad is a series of library workshops aimed at graduate students on the Ann Arbor campus. Join library experts to learn practical tips about how to conduct archival research with primary sources that comprise our rich special collections.

During this workshop, we will:

* Provide you with a general overview of the wonderful items you can study in the Special Collections Research Center

* Help you understand special collections “reading room” expectations, and show you how to navigate the research experience

* Show you how to search and explore collection “finding aids,” and how to access physical materials like rare books, personal papers, Islamic manuscripts, film scripts, or vintage cookbooks
