Come explore the creative possibilities of maze books while making Maze & Blue, a miniature U-M–themed accordion artist’s book designed by Lara Unger!

You’ll learn a variety of book-arts techniques as you assemble this more complex accordion structure, featuring a folded map, two small sewn-in sections, and miniature reproductions of U-M–related ephemera.

During this hands-on workshop, you’ll get an introduction to maze-book construction, the Hungarian map fold, simple sewing techniques, and creative ways to work with archival-inspired materials.

You’ll leave with a completed miniature artist’s book that celebrates U-M and the history and culture of the U-M Library in a playful, interactive format.
