2:00-3:30 on Monday, October 28 works better for you? Register here.
In this foundational session of our 4-part series, we will play different kinds of games, then discuss how you might integrate them into your courses.
We will play custom Wordle and Connections games, as well as presentational and narrative games such as Funemployed, and Story Dice, and the conversational deductive reasoning game Codenames.
By the end of this workshop, you will have first hand experience with the cognitive, social, and emotional benefits of integrating games into your course. You’ll also be able to choose your favorite experience and integrate it into your class!
Finally, if you walk away unsure of how, when, or where to integrate some games into your classroom, we will work with you to design an activity that fits your course goals!
Upcoming topics in the series include
- Narrative and Role-playing games
- Game modification and design
- Cooperative and Competitive games
ALL for language learning!
If you are already a games enthusiast, remember that we have a game collection that you can borrow in our center! And there is a collection of board and video games in the Shapiro Library!
