Oral Recording Assignments with Extempore for World Language & Culture Courses

Thursday, 3/12, 1:00 pm-2:00 pm
Extempore is a third-party tool specialized for facilitating structured language assessments. The LRC is currently piloting this platform with interested language faculty. This workshop will introduce participants to a few of the assignment types it offers, including synchronous paired video recordings, asynchronous paired audio activities, and individual oral assessments. We will walk participants through the process of setting up an account, creating a class and adding students, and creating assessments with different question types.
This hands-on session will take place in the Mac Classroom at the Language Resource Center (NQ 1500).
