With the new ADA Title II Compliance Deadline coming up in April of 2026, the vast majority of digital content being created and utilized for courses, research, and communication needs to be in compliance with that law. Videos need to have visual description (also referred to as audio description or descriptive audio) files associated with them. This workshop will discuss how to create visual descriptions and the best practices for language use in those descriptions. Through this process we’ll explore tools that are free or included for members of the University community and we’ll learn processes that are easy to follow once learned.
