Generative AI in the Classroom (Pt 2): This workshop is designed to assist faculty with learning how to integrate Generative Artificial Intelligence into the classroom. We will provide tips and hands-on opportunities for using U-M GPT to produce effective instructional materials such as assignment ideas, assignment rubrics, and lesson plan outlines. GenAI syllabi statements and course syllabi creation will be discussed as well. 

Level: Beginner/ Intermediate

Recommended Prerequisite: Generative AI Basics & Generative in the Classroom, Part 1

Workshop Outline:

  • Recap from GenAI in the Classroom, pt 1 and discussion:
    • How have you used GenAI in your courses?
  • Demos of GenAI classroom applications
  • Hands-on opportunities: Using GenAI to create:
    • Course Syllabi
    • Authentic assignments
    • Assignment rubrics
    • Lesson plan outlines
